You’ve just been Green Lit based on a brilliant first page of a script! The page ends on a cliffhanger .. where the story goes from there is up to you and your cast and crew! Every team receives the same first page of the script written by an award winning screenwriter at a kickoff event on July 29th. Then you have one week to build upon the first page, shoot your film, edit, score, and submit your finished short film by August 6th. Entries must be no less than 5 and no more than 10 minutes. 

All of the entries will then be given the red carpet treatment and screened for participants and a limited number of guests on August 26th. After all of the films have screened, the awards ceremony will begin with prizes given for Best Film, Best Directing, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Sound, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor. Each film also gets the opportunity to win one of our Audience Awards as well. The judges will be an independent panel of non-participants who are connected to the film industry – filmmakers, screenwriters, critics, historians, etc.

The Best Picture winner receives $500 and entry into a national film festival!
